DENTAL SERVICES

State-of-the-Art Technology

Healthy teeth and gums are vital for maintaining a long-lasting, beautiful smile, which is why we want your treatment to be as comfortable and convenient as possible. At our practice we utilize some of the most advanced dental technology available to help keep your visit quick, effective, and enjoyable:

  • Digital X-Ray - Our digital x-ray system emits up to 90 percent lower radiation exposure than traditional x-ray machines and quickly produces sharp digital images, making problem areas easier to diagnose.
  • Intra Oral Cameras - These tiny cameras go inside of the mouth to produce video images of your teeth and gums on a TV monitor. This tool helps us effectively explain problem areas and treatments to our patients.
  • Rotary Endodontics - This efficient root canal tool allows us to complete your treatment in as little as one visit.
  • CEREC® 3D - We can craft your all-ceramic crown in just one visit. There is no need for waiting or temporary crowns with this revolutionary machine.

Sedation Dentistry

We want all of our patients to be relaxed and comfortable when they come to Ideal Dentistry - especially during treatment. For our patients who struggle with dental anxiety, we offer a choice of either nitrous oxide or light oral sedation:

Nitrous oxide sedation is a great way to allow patients to relax without leaving them drowsy after treatment. Patients under nitrous oxide sedation are fully conscious, but extremely relaxed during procedures.

light oral sedation patients swallow a small pill to provide stronger sedation than nitrous oxide. This allows us more time to complete multiple treatments in just one visit, while you relax - making difficult trips to the dentist easier and more comfortable than ever. Patients who receive light oral sedation will need a friend to drive them home after treatment.

Since sedation dentistry at Ideal Dentistry is effective and completely safe, trips to the dentist have never been easier! Contact us today for more information about the sedation dentistry options we offer.

All-Porcelain Crowns - CEREC® 3D

Teeth that have been damaged by decay or trauma can be restored through the application of beautiful all-ceramic crowns crafted using our state-of-the-art CEREC® 3D machine. After Dr. Rowe carefully removes the damaged portions of the tooth, he uses the CEREC® machine to create a custom fitted all-ceramic crown, which he then bonds securely to the healthy body of the tooth.

Because these crowns are constructed entirely of translucent porcelain matched to the exact shade of the surrounding teeth, your restored tooth looks completely natural. All-porcelain crowns can also be used to improve the cosmetic appearance of your smile by restoring teeth that are misshapen or deeply stained. Contact us today for more information about restoring teeth with ceramic crowns.

Root Canals - Endodontics

When a cavity penetrates deep into a tooth, the nerve can become infected and must be removed through a root canal procedure. Undergoing a root canal will save the tooth and prevent the infection from spreading into the jawbone. Using rotary endodontic tools to make the procedure more efficient and effective, Dr. Rowe will remove damage and access the infected root to remove it.

Once the nerve is removed, the interior is sealed and a ceramic crown is placed on top of the tooth body to regain a fully functional and complete tooth. Because we employ rotary tools and the CEREC® 3D machine for crafting crowns, most root canal procedures and the necessary protective crown can be completed within one appointment. Sedation is available to help you relax during your treatment. Contact us today for more information about our root canal procedure.

Cavities

It is extremely important that cavities are filled in a timely manner once they have been detected to prevent further damage and the possibility of nerve infection. At Ideal Dentistry, we offer tooth-colored fillings for cavities to keep the repair work undetectable. These resin fillings are strong and keep your teeth looking healthy and beautiful. Contact us for more information about tooth-colored fillings.

Extractions

Occasionally, due to decay, trauma, or disease, a tooth needs to be extracted to maintain good dental health. Prior to your procedure, the area will be numbed and you may be given a sedative to relax. Once you are properly prepared, Dr. Rowe will carefully remove your tooth. During this procedure, your health and comfort are our primary concerns.

Dentures

We offer custom dentures to help patients with missing teeth maintain face shape, functional jaw alignment, and chewing abilities. These removable dentures fit comfortably over the gums and look natural. We also offer implant-secured dentures, or overdentures, to provide our patients with additional functional support when compared to removable dentures. Through the placement of a few titanium anchors, dentures can be fastened within the mouth and offer the added benefit of stimulating the jawbone to prevent bone loss. Contact us for more information about removable dentures and implant-secured overdentures to replace missing teeth.

Porcelain Veneers

Achieving an instantly straight, brilliant, attractive smile is possible with porcelain veneers. Porcelain veneers are thin laminates crafted from durable porcelain that are fitted and bonded to the front side of teeth to beautifully conceal discoloration, chips, gaps, misalignment, and other smile imperfections. Enhancing the appearance of one tooth, a few teeth, or achieving a complete smile makeover is simple using porcelain veneers. A variety of tooth shapes and porcelain colors are available to give you the precise results that you desire. With the CEREC system and our in house laboratory Dr. Rowe can sometimes craft these veneers and place them in a single appointment. Contact us for a smile consultation today to find out how porcelain veneers can dramatically improve the appearance of your smile.

Dental Implants

For patients who are missing one or more teeth, dental implants are an excellent solution for attractive and functional replacement. Our doctors team will first determine the number of implants needed. The implants are then placed into the spaces needing the replacement teeth. After the implanted anchors heal properly by fusing with the bone tissue, Dr. Rowe will secure custom designed porcelain crowns to the tops of the implants. The new tooth will look and function just like a natural tooth, easily allowing you to bite, chew, and speak normally. Dental implants also effectively preserve bone mass in the jaw, facial structure, and a properly positioned bite. Contact Ideal Dentistry today for more information about dental implants to restore missing teeth.

Composite Bonding

Composite bonding is a versatile procedure that can repair chipped teeth, conceal stains, resculpt misshapen teeth, and close gaps. Using a resilient composite resin material that is customized to match the color of your teeth, Dr. Rowe will carefully layer the resin onto the area, curing each coat with a specialized light. Once the appropriate amount of material has been applied, the bond can be sculpted and buffed to achieve the proper shape and texture. When the procedure is complete, the bonding work will look completely natural and indistinguishable from the rest of your teeth.

In-Office and Take-Home Teeth Whitening

We offer both in-office and take-home teeth whitening treatments to eliminate discoloration caused by consumption of coffee, tea, soda, tobacco, and other staining substances. Using customized mouth trays, whitening gel is applied to the teeth for the appropriate period of time until your desired level of whiteness is reached. Both methods produce brilliant, dazzling results to give you a beautiful, healthy looking smile. Contact us today for more information about our teeth whitening treatments.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Dark metal fillings that can dull the appearance of your smile are no longer your only option for fixing cavities. At Ideal Dentistry we offer tooth-colored fillings to keep your smile bright and healthy looking, despite cavity repairs. After removing decay from the tooth, Dr. Rowe fill the cavity with a durable composite resin substance, which can be customized to match your exact tooth color. Only you and your dentist will know that you ever had a filling. Contact us today for more information about tooth-colored fillings.
